VERTICAL RACE
The vertical course ascends mostly groomed runs and cat tracks from the mid station of the Catamount Chair lift to the Heaven's Door Yurt. The full course is approx. 3 km with 600m of ascent.
Warm clothes and downhill skiing gear may be dropped at the race start and will be transported to the finish. All competitors will be lead down the hill by ski patrol after the race - this means that no one skis down until the last competitor is across the line, so plan accordingly.

RACE BRIEFING
To help keep everyone safe this year, we are not doing an in-person race briefing and instead are asking you all to review the material below. There will be a brief Q&A at 4pm at the start line.

EQUIPMENT - no required equipment. Skis and boots must meet minimum ISMF specs - see rules section for more details. Make sure you pack warm clothes and a helmet in your bag to be taken to the top.
SKI DOWN - all competitors must wait at the finish line yurt until everyone is finished. No skiing down solo! The group will be led down by Ski Patrol.
INSTRUCTIONS - race number on right thigh. Timing chip on right lower leg. Be at the Catamount mid station by approx 4pm. Deposit your warm clothes in the carry up bags. Course is marked with green flagging.
START LINE - The front of the corral is reserved for national team members. Men on the left half, women on the right, position in this zone is first come first served. All other competitors will be in the second part of the start corral, position also determined by order of arrival.
